Constance (Connie) Ray, born 5/28/1934 in East Orange, NJ, passed away on 5/30/2022 at her
home in Jemison, AL. She is survived by her sister Lynn Denkovic Molner of Edgewater, FL,
daughter Laurie Ray Konrad (Chris) of Bellevue, NE, daughter Robin Lynn Miller of Jemison,
AL, and son John Kenneth Ray (Angie) of Montevallo, AL; grandchildren Jen Miller of
Birmingham, AL, Mindy Miller Whittle (Mike) of Verbena, AL, Chad Ray of Chelsea, AL, Eric
Konrad (Noelle) of Bellevue, NE, Zac Konrad (Kate) of Papillion, NE, Teela Ray Chase (Jack) of
Poplar Bluff, MO, Christina “Tina” Konrad Oliver (Jason) of Omaha, NE, Kenneth Alexander Ray
of Alabaster, AL and Constance Marin Ray Glass (Clint) of Jemison, AL; step-grandchildren
Michael and Mark Bell of OR and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband
Former Mayor Kenneth Ray of Jemison, AL, mother Virginia Malang (Louis) of Daytona Beach,
FL, sister Duane Snyder of Port Orange, FL, daughter Nancy Jo Ray of Jemison, AL,
step-daughter Victoria Lynn Ray of OR and grandson Robert David Stevens of Jemison, AL.
Because she was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mrs. Ray’s ashes will be buried in the Montevallo
National Cemetery. It will be a small funeral for family and a few friends.
