Lesley Rollie Shadwick

May 16, 1957-April 26, 2022

Lesley Rollie Shadwick, 64, of West Blocton Alabama, passed away on April 26, 2022. Rollie was born on May 16, 1957, to Lesley William and Billie Jean Shadwick in Bessemer, AL. After Rollie graduated from West Blocton High School in 1975, he went to work for Jim Walter Resources and was a member of The United Mine Workers of America. In 1995, Rollie retired from the mines and spent his time underneath the hood of a car. He developed a fascination with cars at an early age which lasted his whole life. He loved racing and was quite the “Automobile Aficionado.” Every dog loved him and Mary Jane, his canine friend of many years, grieves for him immensely. Rollie was preceded in death by his loving son, Lee Glover Shadwick, and his daddy, “Dube.” He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Shadwick, and his son, Lewis Shadwick. He was also Grandaddy to Ivan Adams, Lillie Ann, Ava, and LJ Shadwick. He leaves behind his loving companion, Rhonda Finnen, his two sisters, Denise McMillan and Regina Shadwick, and his mother, Billie Jean Shadwick. We will miss our daddy dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with him. Rollie is now at peace, joining his daddy and precious son.
