Patrick “Pat” Bowers Mackinaw 

Patrick, 71, of Birmingham, AL died unexpectedly on May 18, 2022. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. Pat was born on November 23, 1950 to Hugh and Margaret Alyce Mackinaw of Pratt City, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Hugh, George, Steve, Chris and Denis and sister Moni. Pat is survived by his daughter, Trisha McKendree; two grandchildren, Isaac McKendree and Zoey McKendree; his brothers, John, Tim and Mikey; his sisters, Peggy, Annemarie and Mary; many nieces and nephews. Patrick attended John Carroll High School. He also attained two associate degrees from Jefferson State Community College. Pat worked in construction in the family business “C&P Construction” with several of his brothers. He had a passion for racecar driving and was always a source of positivity. Pat was also an excellent chef. He enjoyed baking cakes and brownies, homemade ice cream and he made some of the most excellent chocolate fudge you've ever tasted. Anyone who knew Pat knew that he was a kind, loving, caring, brilliant, wonderful person. Pat's family and friends will miss him more than words can say. There will be a memorial service with military honors for Pat at the Alabama National Cemetery located in Montevallo, Al.
