John W Tennant

John W. Tennant born 8/12/51- passed away Saturday 9/3/22 at 72 years of age, being the only one left in his immediate family. Beginning in his youth, he was a man of great faith, as taught to him by his grandmother. Although he did live a very modest, humble, private and solitude life, he had the love of many friends past and present. He certainly was a passionate man about his work! Even the people he worked with during his last days as a watch repairmen could always count on words of wisdom and little funny joke... or sometimes a grumpy old man! "What do you want?" ( But all in fun!) Certainly they could rely on him to be there on time and be a hard worker. He lived a great and amazing past life as a master Jeweler, master Sculptor and Certified Watchmaker. He was semi famous sculptor and jeweler in Alaska and Washington DC. He made great and detailed pieces for important dignitaries and the affluent. He was on TV several times showing his craft and in magazines as well. He had pieces on display in museums in Alaska, Washington and Colorado. As a child he was a dreamer and was still so at 72, from building a small car, engines or even a tool to help the processes of work, he always thinking of some way to make something!. He also created art from the hostile and beautiful scenes of the Alaskan wilderness, it was truly amazing work. He had a very creative mind and he will be missed. "We all loved you John! Good bye for now..."

A memorial service will be held in John's honor at 10am on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 190 Egg and Butter Road, Columbiana, Ala. Here's a link to the google map: https://goo.gl/maps/KsJncT1x1EpLx6EdA

A second memorial service will be held on the 8th of October 4 PM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church
