Gantt, Patricia Gail

Gantt, Patricia Gail, 67, Gardendale, Alabama, entered peaceful rest on Thursday, June 1, 2023, after a long and arduous battle with heart and kidney disease, and in more recent times, breast cancer and Covid.
Patricia was born June 9, 1955 in Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from L. Frazier Banks High School, Birmingham, in 1973. She studied Radiologic Technology at Jefferson State/UAB and was a Mammography Compliance Specialist at University of Ala. Health Services Fnd. The Kirklin Clinic until she retired due to health.

She is predeceased by her parents, Lewis Whaley Gantt and Joyce Riley Gantt, and by her siblings, Carole Gantt Gothard, Lewis Gregory Gantt, and Cynthia Gantt Campbell, and her much loved Boston Terrier, Clyde Barrow.

Patricia was an avid fan of Alabama Crimson Tide Football, Braves Baseball, and all things Elvis. She loved her family and friends deeply. She had no children, but was a mother to many. When her sister Cynthia passed, Patricia stepped in and raised as her own, her nephew, Richard Lewis Campbell and her niece, Mary Alicia Campbell. She is survived by them as well as other nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and a very special Goddaughter, Jessica Russell.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gardendale Civic Center in the Magnolia Suite, Pastor Jason Shackleford officiating.
