Patricia Gail Grant Jeffreys, age 73, of Hoover, Alabama, passed away on August 27, 2022 after valiantly battling a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Gail was born on July 31, 1949 in Fulton County, Georgia. She graduated from College Park High School and attended Georgia State University. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Eugene Grant, her mother, Lavene Adamson Grant and her middle sister, Susan Grant Walsh (Jim). She leaves behind her twin daughters, Jennifer Jeffreys Phillips ( Robbie) and Christy Jeffreys Manning, both of Mount Olive; the father of her children, James B. Jeffreys of Cullman, her six adoring grandchildren; Noah Phillips, Braeden Manning, Will Phillips, Luke Phillips, Harper Manning and Finn Manning; her sister, Becky Grant Gay (Jerry) of Kimberly, and six nieces and nephews. Gail was retired from the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church, where she worked as an office manager. She lived her life in service of others and was a friend to many. She enjoyed her work but felt most at home raising her girls and in her later years, being the best “Nonna” to her grandchildren. The lessons she taught and the love that she gave leaves an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to know her. A celebration of life is planned for early September. “The purpose of life is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
