Patricia May Crowley

Patricia May Crowley, 75, passed away on August 12, 2023 in Trussville, AL. Pat is survived by her daughter Christi Crowley Smith; son in law Andrew Smith and her granddaughter Sidney Maylynn Smith, all of Trussville, AL. She is also survived by her sister, Catherine Martin of Highland, UT. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Crowley, parents Wallace and Cora May, and many loved family members.

Pat was born on February 8, 1948 in Jackson, TN to Wallace and Cora May. She graduated from Jackson High School and attended Jackson State before moving to Memphis, TN after her marriage to Thomas Crowley in July 1970. Together they had a daughter, Christi, who was born in January of 1975. Pat held many jobs throughout her life. She was a co-owner of the family jewelry stores for many years and later worked as a Disney cast member. Before she retired, Pat was a receptionist for a lighting store. Pat was a long time member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis and loved attending First Baptist Church Trussville when she moved to Trussville in 2019.

Although Pat held many roles throughout her life, her most treasured was that of a mother and grandmother. She excelled at both. When her granddaughter Sidney was born in 2006, she became Grandma. It was by far the most cherished part of her life, often saying Sidney was the “sunshine of her life.” Pat loved to travel, especially to Walt Disney World. She loved looking at real estate and knew every Elvis song.

The family will have a private service at a later time. The family would like to thank the staff at Peachtree Senior Living and Journey Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Pat during her last few years.
