Pelham Anderson Morris
April 3, 1978 – August 10, 2022

Pelham Morris, 44, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 10, 2022.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Pelham graduated from Mountain Brook High
School and Auburn University. Pelham is preceded in death by his father, Doctor
Anderson Morrow Morris. He is survived by the joy of his life, his son, Gerald
Anderson Morris; mother, Mary Morris Friel; stepfather, William Eugene Friel;
sister, Meg Morris Blackney (Shawn); stepbrother, Ryan Coleman Friel (Andrea);
and former wife, Molly Norris Morris. He is also survived by his nieces and
nephews, Memphis Blackney; Oliver Blackney; Evan Friel; and Laurel Friel.
Pelham lived in the Arab, Alabama community at the time of his death. He was
employed by Emmaus Foods in the quality control department.
His family and friends take comfort in his favorite Bible verses: Ephesians
6:10-11, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Put on the full
armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.” And
Psalm 16:7-9, “I will praise the Lord, who counsels me, even at night my heart
instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand I will
not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also
will rest secure.”

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please
consider donating to the Birmingham Humane Society in honor of Otis, Pelham's
faithful canine companion.
