Steven Michael Lougher Sr.

Steven Michael Lougher, Sr of Montevallo, AL passed away on February 28, 2023. He was born November 22, 1958, to Richard Wynne and Delores McKenzie Lougher in Atlanta, Ga. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Wynne Lougher, and his grandparents, Wynne & Peggy Lougher of Doraville, GA, and Barney & Marguerite McKenzie of Dacula, GA. Steven is survived by his mother, Delores McKenzie Lougher of Waynesville, NC; his son, Steven Michael “Mickey” Lougher, Jr. and his wife Kendra of Prattville, AL; his daughter, Heather Ariel Smith and her husband Ray of Jemison, AL; brothers, Robert Lougher and his wife Vena, Richard Lougher both of Tucker, GA; his sister, Cynthia Simson and her husband, Christian of Clyde, NC; grandchildren, Cain & Mary Jane Lougher and Maize Looney of Jemison, AL; several nephews and nieces. Steven began his career as a wrecker driver and used parts puller in Lithonia, Georgia. He traveled the United States by Tractor Trailer for many years. He was a jack of all trades working odd jobs from the time he was 15 years old. Steven finished his working years as an electrician’s helper in commercial construction before finally retiring in 2020 when his health began to decline. All Steven ever really wanted to do was live life his way despite society’s expectations. His favorite thing to do was to hit the road on a motorcycle. Going by Jughead, Packrat, or Pappy, no road was ever too long or too far. Although he sometimes made it difficult, Steven was always very loved by his family and friends. Steven will be laid to rest next to his father in Tucker, GA on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the Old Rugged Cross section of Floral Hills Memory Gardens cemetery.
