William Lee Dixon

William Lee Dixon, age 60, of Linden died Saturday, November 12, 2022 at UAB Hospital from complications following open heart surgery.  Lee was born August 17, 1962 in Demopolis, Alabama.  He attended Linden City Schools and Marengo Academy where he excelled in football and baseball. Lee is survived by his wife, Patti Perry Dixon of Linden, sons Alan Foley (Heather) of Monroeville, and Andrew Dixon (Penny) of Tuscaloosa, daughter Ashley Dixon McCarter (Chris) of Forkland, Andrew and Ashley’s mother, June Dixon and grandchildren, Gage, Ryan, Ethan, Emily, Aleena, Alison, Blakelee, and Remingto n.  Lee is also survived by his father, Robert Dixon (Julia) of Forkland, brother Paul (Linda) Dixon of Houston, Texas and sisters Lisa Chambless of Linden and Alana (Allen) Acker of Forkland as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death this past year by his mother, Betty Joe Craig and sister, Wendy Dixon Crosby.  Lee was the owner of Lee’s Professional Painting.   He was an avid fisherman and was a member of the 205 Fishing Club.  He enjoyed time spent with family camping and hunting at the Lower Forty.  A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Spillway Falls Park (Lower Pool) in Demopolis with Reverend Robert Pearce, officiating.
